A trademark filing process starts with a Trademark Search. It is important that you check if your proposed trademark is not being used in Canada.

The cost of a basic search is $39.95 plus tax. You will receive a report that identifies all similar existing trademarks to the one you are proposing. This report will assist you in making a decision to proceed with registration or make amendments to the proposed trademark.
